InterGenetics is a predictive medicine company focused on molecular diagnostics and targeted therapy for cancer. Because all cancer has some genetic basis for development, researching the genetic basis of this disease allows Intergenetics to find gene combinations that are predictive of developing cancer. Traditionally, diagnostic and therapeutic development programs had highly dissimilar development processes. However, genetic medicine is personalized medicine whereby gene therapy can be utilized to align the value of the cancer connected to the gene.
Since the Company successfully completed their first CLIA inspection (3Q 2006), they have signed up 32 testing centers in 21 states and are licensed to operate in 49 states.
